For routine protection against tetanus and polio please make appointments with the practice nurse. We offer a full range of vaccinations for foreign travel, for advice and information please make an appointment four to six weeks before departure so immunisation can be completed.
We are also registered to give yellow fever vaccinations (one of only three designated centres in Northumberland). This service is available to anyone, not just registered patients.
Cervical smears are recommended every three years for women aged 25 – 49, and every five years for those aged 50 – 64. We will invite you each time your test is due and informed you of the results within four to six weeks
Preconception advice is available by appointment. Ante- natal and post- natal care is provided by the midwife who runs a regular clinic every Monday and Thursday afternoon. Our Primary Care Mental Health Nurse also provides ante and post- natal support for mothers.

Immunisations to protect against serious infectious diseases are done by the practice nurses. The doctor is available to discuss any concerns you may have or issues you wish to discuss.
