Collingwood Medical Group provides GP and family health services to patients in the Blyth area. We offer a wide range of clinics as well as GP appointments, and patients can often be seen by other healthcare professionals within the practice such as practice nurses and a pharmacist.
We are part of Northumbria Primary Care Limited – which is a partnership between local GP surgeries and a top performing NHS trust, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Practice opening hours
Please note from 1 August, after 5pm the practice telephones will be answered by NHS 111 services who provide out of hours GP cover. The practice will continue to remain open until 6pm for prescription collections and other enquiries.
The practice is closed for staff training/meetings every Wednesday from 12 midday – 1:30pm.
If you require a doctor urgently, you will be able to speak to the doctor on call any time between 8am and 6.30 by phoning the usual practice telephone number.
The surgery does not open on Saturday morning.
There is parking at the health centre and easy access from the car park to the surgery. The practice reception desk is adapted for disabled patients and there is also a separate, large and suitably adapted WC and washroom, which can be found in the patient waiting area of the practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working at Collingwood Medical Group in the last financial year was £30,142.66 before tax and national insurance.
This is for 3 part-time GPs.
